“Anmat” Launches “Framing Gaza” Data Resource
Anmat has officially released the Framing Gaza Data Resource, a comprehensive dataset built from the analysis of more than 25,000 articles covering Gaza across leading English-language outlets in the Global North.
The resource is the result of large-scale text analysis using Association Rule Mining (ARM) with the Apriori algorithm. Articles were preprocessed through lemmatization, stop-word removal, and meaningful n-gram filtering with part-of-speech cues. The rules were computed at both the platform and tier levels, enabling comparisons of how headlines and body text frame the events that took place in Gaza differently, and how narratives shift across outlets.
The Framing Gaza Data Resource is designed as a practical tool for journalists. It provides access to the underlying database, detailed methodology, and high-level findings, helping reporters develop new story ideas grounded in statistical evidence.
The dataset is available on request for journalists and researchers. Interested colleagues can reach Anmat at info@anmat.media.
