The
Seven Days
In the 'Seven Days', we analyzed 1,575 Arabic-language headlines and their body text from five platforms (arabic.rt.com, alarabiya.net, skynewsarabia.com, bbc.com/arabic, aljazeera.net), covering the Iran war's coverage between February 25 and March 6, 2026. Using Association Rule Mining (ARM) with the FP-Growth algorithm, applied at the sentence level, the project was produced in collaboration with Arabi Facts Hub (AFH) and distributed via Muwatin.
The Seven Days
Methodology & Scope
In "Seven Days", we extracted and analyzed 1,575 Arabic-language headlines and their body text from five platforms (arabic.rt.com, alarabiya.net, skynewsarabia.com, bbc.com/arabic, aljazeera.net), covering the Iran war's coverage between February 25 and March 6, 2026. Our goal is to identify recurring linguistic associations that construct dominant narratives in Arabic-language coverage of the war. Using Association Rule Mining (ARM) with the FP-Growth algorithm, applied at the sentence level, we identified terms that repeatedly appear together within the same sentence. These associations may indicate recurring framing patterns, but they do not establish intent, causality, or editorial coordination and require contextual interpretation.
Journalist Training
Empowering regional voices to understand NLP processing.
Alongside this dataset, we hosted hands-on workshops with journalists from Arabi Fact Hub (AFH). We familiarize them with ARM analysis and the FP-Growth algorithm so they can begin mining our datasets independently.
Open Source Data Access
Open access
The full dataset is accessible to all journalists, researchers, and activists on Kaggle. We strongly encourage completing a workshop beforehand, but it is not mandatory.
