Partnership Statement| Anmat & InfoTimes: Together we can do more

Anmat and InfoTimes announce the launch of a strategic partnership grounded in a shared belief that collaboration between the two organizations brings significant added value to journalism. This partnership aims to expand access to data, knowledge products, and research tools that support journalists and researchers, and contribute to strengthening the quality of journalism in the Arab world.

The partnership is built on a shared vision that sees expanding access to data, advancing the responsible use of machine learning technologies, and exchanging research efforts based on data analysis as essential pillars for building journalism that is more capable of understanding, analysis, and accountability.

Within this framework, the two organizations will collaborate throughout 2026 across three main areas:

1. Expanding Access to Databases

Developing and publishing open or semi-open databases that enable journalists and researchers to use them in producing data-driven investigations, reports, and research.

2. Improving Machine Learning Models and Their Social Use

Joint efforts to develop and improve machine learning models, with a focus on applications that serve Arab societies and the community of Arab journalists, while taking ethical and contextual considerations into account.

3. Sharing Research and Analytical Efforts

Collaborating on data-driven research and exchanging expertise in evaluating and improving existing machine learning models, in ways that enhance critical understanding of their capabilities and limitations within journalistic contexts.

This partnership comes as part of both organizations’ commitment to supporting journalism grounded in knowledge, data, and analysis, and to building shared resources and tools that can be further developed to serve journalism and the wider public in the future.
